Our Fact-Checking Methodology
Every claim we publish is verified against primary sources. Here's how we ensure accuracy.
1. Source Requirements
We only cite sources that meet these criteria:
- Peer-reviewed research: Published in journals like Nature, Science, NEJM, Lancet
- Government data: BLS, Census Bureau, Eurostat, ABS (Australia)
- Established institutions: McKinsey, WEF, Brookings, RAND, MIT, Stanford
- Official company reports: SEC filings, earnings calls, press releases
- Reputable news outlets: Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, WSJ, NYT (for announcements)
2. Verification Process
Before publication, every article goes through:
- Source verification: We check that studies exist and say what we claim
- Data accuracy: Numbers are cross-referenced with original reports
- Expert validation: Claims are checked against multiple independent sources
- Citation linking: Every major claim has a direct source link
- Correction policy: Errors are corrected within 24 hours of discovery
3. What We Don't Do
To maintain credibility, we never:
- ❌ Publish anonymous or unverifiable claims
- ❌ Use "studies say" without naming the study
- ❌ Cherry-pick data to support a narrative
- ❌ Present speculation as fact
- ❌ Delete corrections or hide errors
4. How to Verify Our Claims
Every article includes:
- Inline citations: [Source: Organization Name] after key claims
- Source list: Full bibliography at the end of each article
- Direct links: URLs to original reports where available
- Date stamps: When the source was published
5. AI-Generated Content Disclosure
We use AI tools to:
- ✅ Research and summarize public reports
- ✅ Draft articles based on verified sources
- ✅ Check grammar and readability
We do NOT use AI to:
- ❌ Fabricate sources or data
- ❌ Invent expert quotes
- ❌ Make up statistics
All AI-generated content is reviewed by human editors before publication.
6. Report an Error
